REV. FR. JOACHIM RUFIN AKE ABOA - MEMBER

Rev. Fr. Joachim Rufin Ake Aboa is an accomplished Ivorian Catholic priest, educator, and psychotherapist with over two decades of pastoral, academic, and administrative experience. A former diocesan priest of Grand-Bassam, he combines a strong foundation in philosophy, theology, and sociology with professional training in psychological counselling obtained in Kenya.

Fr. Aboa is currently the Parish Priest of Sainte Famille d’ Aklomiabla, Koumassi Parish. He has held significant leadership roles within the Catholic educational system in Côte d’Ivoire, including serving as Head of School, Spiritual Director, and Diocesan Director of Catholic Education for the Diocese of Grand-Bassam. His experience extends to national assignments, most notably as National Executive Secretary of Catholic Works (Œuvres Catholiques) in Abidjan.

A bilingual communicator fluent in both French and English, Fr. Aboa has taught English, Religion, Moral Education, and served as a mentor and spiritual guide for countless students at the secondary and seminary levels. His pastoral service also includes roles as Chaplain, Episcopal Vicar, and Director of Catholic Pontifical Mission Societies (OPM).

Known for his integrity, dedication to youth development, and commitment to holistic human formation, Fr. Aboa brings a rich blend of counselling expertise, educational leadership, and cross-cultural experience to every role he serves.
