FELIX YAO ADJAVOR - MEMBER

Mr. Felix Yao Adjavor is a highly accomplished cultural administrator, security analyst, and French education specialist recently appointed by the President of the Republic of Ghana as the Acting Executive Director of the National Folklore Board. With over two decades of multidisciplinary experience spanning defence and international politics, tourism, cultural research, and education, he brings a rare blend of academic rigour, creative insight, and policy awareness to national cultural leadership.

Mr. Adjavor holds a Master of Science in Defence and International Politics from the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College, a Bachelor of Science in Management and Computer Studies from Wisconsin International University College, and an HND in Tourism from Cape Coast Technical University. He also trained as a French educator at the University of Cape Coast’s Institute of Education and advanced his language proficiency through the renowned Village du Benin (Université du Togo).

His professional background includes extensive work in French education, tourism development, research on security sector reform, migration, and conflict studies, as well as thought leadership in Ghana’s creative and cultural sectors. His research publications cover regional security, humanitarian issues, and cultural heritage, while his teaching career demonstrates a strong commitment to youth development and academic excellence.

Mr. Adjavor is fluent in English and French, skilled in research, communication, cultural analysis, and institutional leadership. His appointment to the National Folklore Board reflects his deep dedication to safeguarding Ghana’s indigenous knowledge systems, promoting cultural diplomacy, and strengthening the creative economy.

He continues to champion the preservation and promotion of Ghanaian folklore, traditional expressions, and cultural heritage through strategic leadership, scholarly insight, and community engagement.
